Dendy's Lists

List of Newsletters:

26 Jun 1999:

Abundant additions on the Webershed pages this time.

It's the era of "new and improved" and, while we can't make any bold claims to the latter, we certainly have a "new look."  But then again, if our expensive marketing gurus are right, a new look is all that counts.  Oh, that, and this website is now "Y2k certified."  Anyway, tell us what you think about the new look.

Terry has provided us with his GEDCOM of 1000 Eversheds.  It is definitely worth a look.  If you don't see a GEDCOM file for your chart, download your chart and create one!  Peter has supplied us with new (and improved), up-to-date chart data.

I know it took me a couple of billion years, but I have finally added more links to the Evershed Links page.  If you would like to see your e-mail or web site listed, then send me an e-mail.  If you could include your sheet and generation and any other details you would like listed, it would be greatly appreciated.  For example:

Roberta Bob Evershed (Z/22)
Middeluv, Nowhere, Planet Earth
Web:
http://www.mydomain.co.uk/roberta
E-mail:
abuse@aol.com (I hope the spam-bots choke on this one)

Now, back to the show.

19 Jan 1999:

The latest newsletter from TRE via BWE has now been added to the site.  It is quite possible that some typos exist in the list of corrections as the page was scanned and OCRed.  Apologies in advance.  If typos are found, please e-mail the corrections to me.

Four more additions (in nearly alphabetical order) to the links page:

Dendy and Susie Evershed are now online with e-mail!

Leo Evershed's web site looks great.  Drop by to say hi if you haven't done so already.  His site is dedicated to current Evershed family related issues and information.  His site will also contain JDE's family reference notes.  Watch for them!

Kathryn Evershed is looking for another female duodecagenarian (or, should that be decaduogenerian, or maybe twelve-year-old) penpal in the Evershed family with whom she can correspond.  If you are one--or know one--send her a note.

I would also like to point out that David I. C. Evershed's web page has been updated a few times since I first put his link in the links page.  It now contains all three volumes of PBE's Evershed family history as well as the GEDCOM version of the Kempsall Family tree created by Richard Lyne.  It also has the Evershed Christian Name Index of PBE--a great resource for any Evershed parents-to-be!

14 Dec 1998:

Added e-mail for Ruth Evershed Ketterer to the links page.  The location of the reunion was omitted from the automatic invitation form-page.  Sorry about that.  For the record, the location of the reunion is:

WOMEN'S HALL, opposite the FREE CHRISTIAN (UNITARIAN) CHURCH,
Billingshurst, West Sussex, England.

It should be noted that a printable version, an original copy, of the invitation is still--and has always been--available should anyone wish to use it instead of the automatic form.

3 Nov 1998:

Added David William John Evershed to the links page.

2 Nov 1998:

The latest newsletter has been added.  Included with that is the Evershed Family Reunion Invitation (17 July 1999) in a convenient e-mail form as well as a printer friendly version.  The Kempsall family tree will be added to David I. C. Evershed's web site.

4 Aug 1998:

Sheets A1, A2, J, and K have been added to the ftp site.  Links to them can be found on the GEDCOM page.  Richard J. Lyne (K/21) of Trinidad, great-grandson of Mary Evershed (K/18) and descendent of Sydney Evershed the Brewer (with whom some of you may be familiar :-) supplied Bryan (and me) with sheet K.  Thanks Richard!

Richard also has the Kempsall family tree which as many of you know intersects with the Evershed family tree at Susan Kempsall on the FrontPage/11.  (DMA:  This page can be found at DICE)

Apparently, John 'Leo' (W/20) hopes to have an Evershed site.  That would be grand!  I would like to link to it as soon as it is available.

8 July 1998:

You all have Bryan to thank for the most recent corrections to the Evershed web site.  His attention to detail has caught a few broken links such as those to the Charts pages and the Evershed History volume 1.  His persistence has also been useful as the corrections have finally been made!

13 May 1998:

The Coat of Arms from 1662 was scanned in by David I C Evershed (P/21).

12 May 1998:

The Family Tree Data page now has links to the GEDCOM files, Evershed ASCII charts and the Evershed Family History; all Evershed data in electronic form.

Evershed family members may also list their personal e-mail or URLs on the Links page.  Just ask me!

19 January 1998:

Welcome to the new Evershed web pages.  These pages will eventually contain information from many different sources.  They will host up-to-date news and GEDCOM genealogy files as well as links to other resources including the pages of other Eversheds.  If you would like me to place a link to your site, just send me a note with your URL.

Hopefully, you will find these pages informative and easy to use.  I am quite open to any suggestions or comments that you may have.  Please, contact me at EvershedWebmaster@gsi.bc.ca with any of these.

Happy Evershed surfing!

Dean.
