Evershed page update
(12 Nov 2007):

One significant thing about the internet is that it never forgets. Until recently, the main Evershed website was hosted by David Evershed:

http://www.dice.demon.co.uk/evershed

Unfortunately that site has recently gone offline. The internet never forgets, so you can still see it through the magic of the Wayback Machine Archive.

You likely found David Evershed's and/or this page through a search engine. Well, the good news is that the Evershed Genealogy still has an active online presence that is being maintained by Bryan Evershed. His page is at:

http://homepage.bluewin.ch/bwe/Evershed.html

What is this "Evershed on the Web" page? It is an older website that goes way back to the 1990's. Except for this update, these pages haven't changed at all since 1999. There have been some major changes to the family tree since then, so please see Bryan Evershed's page, above.

J. Dendy Evershed (J/19 and my grandfather) passed away peacefully on 27 Sep 2006. Have a well-deserved rest in peace, Grumpa!

Evershed family members have been researching their history for some 150 years.  The result is a continuous family tree starting around 1200 AD down to the present day with some 700 living members around the globe.
All present-day Eversheds in the world are thought to be included on this family tree.
